On May 27, 2024, the Phase I commissioning ceremony of Towngas Emergency Peak-Shaving and Storage Base, as well as the signing of a contract to deepen cooperation on new energy projects, was grandly held at Sichuan Towngas Hezong Energy Co., Ltd. in Weiyuan County, Neijiang City. Terrence undertook the project in May 2023 to provide the filtration, pressure regulation, metering, and distribution system for this base. The project had a tight delivery schedule and large scale. After the contract was signed, the company immediately organized its top team to work overtime on design and manufacturing, ultimately delivering on schedule and providing high-quality services for on-site testing and maintenance of the project. After the Towngas Emergency Peak-Shaving and Storage Base project is fully completed and operational, it will become the largest-scale emergency gas storage facility for urban gas in China.

After the full construction and operation of the Towngas Emergency Peak-Shaving Storage and Distribution Base Project, it will become the largest emergency peak-shaving storage and distribution base for town gas in China, capable of providing emergency gas support to cities equivalent in size to 30 Weiyuan counties, and it will also play a positive role in promoting the development of the LNG industry and environmental protection in the Southwest region.
This project is a part of Towngas China's important gas source strategic layout of 'Dong Jintan, Xi Weiyuan' in the 14th Five-Year Plan. The Towngas Jintan Salt Cavern Gas Storage is the first underground storage facility in China established by an urban gas company, and Terrence is also the main equipment supplier for the Towngas Jintan Gas Storage. Since the project was completed and put into operation in 2018, it has been running well and has received high praise from clients.
New development
At the ceremony, the Weiyuan County People's Government and Towngas Group signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Deepening New Energy Projects." The two parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as increasing investment in natural gas (shale gas) emergency peak-shaving reserve bases, accelerating the construction of Towngas' national trading center, implementing hydrogen production and helium extraction from natural gas (shale gas), planning and constructing multifunctional energy refueling (replacement) stations and distributed energy projects, and developing and utilizing wellhead gas, hydrogen energy equipment, LNG heavy truck promotion, and the integration of urban gas enterprises.
The direction of cooperation in the agreement is also in line with Terrence's development strategy.
