On November 6th, in the season of refreshing winds and abundant harvests, we welcomed the third Firefighting Sports Games of Changzhou's gas industry. This sports event was hosted by the Changzhou Gas Association and organized by Changzhou Xin'ao Gas Development Co., Ltd., with more than 100 athletes from 11 units under three industry sub-associations participating in five events.
This competition closely revolves around the theme of fire safety, combining training and entertainment. It includes five events: men's 45-meter single-player double-hose connection with a water gun, mixed-gender era wheel and quiz contest, mixed-gender penguin walk, mixed-gender brick-crossing to shut off cylinder valves and extinguish oil fires, and on-site simulation of electrical fire-fighting measures. The competition not only involves intense physical challenges but also tests professional firefighting knowledge, combining mental and physical skills and showcasing the spirit of gas industry workers.
Terrence sent a 13-member team to participate in this sports meeting, competing in all five events. They ultimately received the Team Excellence Award, and in the on-site simulation of fire-fighting measures for electrical fires, they achieved third place in the individual event, bringing a perfect conclusion to this sports meeting. Through this competition and training, we deepened our understanding of fire safety knowledge, mastered basic firefighting skills, and enhanced our impression of the practical application of emergency drill plans. At the same time, we also discovered a lack of experience in the use of firefighting equipment, which needs to be further strengthened in subsequent production management.
Although the competition has ended, fire safety is never relaxed. Gas fire safety affects thousands of households. By participating in the annual fire drill, the company's leaders and employees continuously enhance their awareness and knowledge of fire safety, safeguarding the company's safe production.
